I am a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Heidelberg in Germany and from the Fall of 2009 I will be Assistant Professor of International Studies at the College of Charleston. Currently (until August 2009), I am at the College of Wooster (in Ohio). From January to August 2008, I was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for the Study of Democracy at the University of California (Irvine). Before moving to UCI, I taught and conducted research at the South Asia Institute of the University of Heidelberg.
Having grown up and received most of my education in Germany, I have also spent considerable time living, studying or conducting field research in the U.S., the U.K. and in India.
